Dry stout is produced in the same way as porters and differs from them in gravity. The alcohol content of the drink ranges from 4 to 5 %. Its color depends on the color of the grains used, and its taste depends on the brewing technology. Stout is made from specially roasted barley, some types of malt (chocolate, black roasted), or a combination of these products.

The classic stout is usually black, but a dark brown color is also possible. Stouts are characterized by their dense foam of pastel or brown color. Dry stout can be both opaque and clear, but not cloudy.

It is better to taste the Irish stout chilled. This is how you can smell roasted barley and malt. This aromatic and bitter drink can have notes of coffee, dried citrus peel, or chocolate in it.
